Rotations & Work Quality
As an articling student, you will be given considerable responsibility and will be involved in all facets of our practice,
including: drafting letters and other documentation, research, preparing opinions,
transaction closings, trials, client meetings, examinations for discovery,
etc. We ensure that students are provided with opportunities for direct
client contact, recognizing that effective lawyer-client communication
requires training and experience and is a key component of providing our
clients with the superior level of client service that they expect of
Clark Wilson LLP.
To ensure that you will be provided with the opportunity to work with different lawyers on a variety of matters,
Clark Wilson LLP operates a structured rotational articling program with equal
time allocated to both the firm's business law department (including corporate
finance/securities, commercial lending, technology and intellectual property, wills and
estates, real estate, mergers and acquisitions, tax, etc.) and the litigation
department (including commercial, construction, employment, insurance,
etc.). Upon completion of your articles with our firm, you will be able
to make an informed decision about the field that you wish to pursue.
