FAQ Homepage

Can a subcontractor enforce its claim of lien when the contractor who engaged the subcontractor does not complete its contract?

Yes. The Builders Lien Act specifically allows a subcontractor to enforce its own claim of lien even when the contractor who engaged that subcontractor does not complete its contract, or abandons the improvement.
