Bill Helgason is currently the firm's Managing Partner and a member of the firm's Executive Committee. He is also the partner in charge of the firm's Business Law Department, and is a member of the Commercial Real Estate, Corporate & Commercial and Intellectual Property Groups.

Bill has represented corporate and institutional clients in a number of industries, including real estate, high-tech, manufacturing, health care, education, food products and clothing. He has extensive experience in commercial matters relating to the acquisition, financing and development of real estate, leasing and the purchase and sale of businesses, as well as in advising clients on the acquisition, registration, licensing and enforcement of a variety of intellectual property rights in Canada and abroad.

Bill obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of British Columbia in 1980.
