Derek Mullan, QC, retired in May 2011.

Mr. Mullan has extensive appeal experience in class action, pension, expropriation, construction and products liability litigation. He has also served as a sole arbitrator in a number of multi-million dollar construction disputes.

He graduated from the University of Toronto in engineering and practised for two years as an engineer. In 1967 he obtained his law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School before moving to Vancouver. He was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1968 and appointed Queen’s Counsel by the Federal Minister of Justice in 1989.
