Roy Nieuwenburg is a partner of the firm and Chair of the Construction & Procurement Group. He is also a member of the Commercial Real Estate, Municipal Law, Infrastructure & PPP, Environmental Law and Corporate & Commercial Groups.

Roy has a broad commercial practice that spans a number of complementary areas of law. He brings a wealth of experience in commercial leases, tenders and RFPs for procurement projects, commercial real estate development and commercial contracts.

His clients range from public institutions and companies, such as universities and colleges, airport authorities and energy companies, to smaller privately owned businesses, such as licensee retail stores and private land owners.

Roy regularly speaks and writes on the topic of construction law. His articles have appeared in the Journal of Commerce, various publications by Continuing Legal Education of BC, The Legal Edge, Legal Alert, and The Lawyers Weekly. He delivers seminars and client workshops on real estate, bidding and tendering and construction.

Roy obtained his law degree from the University of Manitoba in 1980 and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1981.
