John Fiddick is a partner of the firm and a member of the Business Litigation, Commercial Lending, Creditors' Remedies, Insolvency & Restructuring and Higher Learning Groups.

John has appeared at all levels of court in BC and has presented a number of seminars and lectures, such as Collections for Legal Support Staff and Powerful Collections Practice for the Continuing Legal Education series and an annual lecture to the Creditors' Remedies Class at The University of British Columbia. He has also conducted in-house seminars for clients and potential clients.

Along with Bill Holder, John has completed work on the Annotated British Columbia Court Order Enforcement Act, which has been published by Canada Law Book and Western Legal Publications. He has written two chapters for the Annotated Guide to Creditors Remedies for CLE. John is also the Editor of Clark Wilson's Business Litigation Report newsletter.

John obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queens University in 1989 and Bachelor of Laws from The University of British Columbia in 1992.

Appearing as counsel at both the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal on leading case dealing with claims to set-offs in CCAA proceedings involving an international telephone services provider.

Providing advice to a large financial institution relating to a complex commercial foreclosure.

Representing publicly-traded company in action against former directors for breach of fiduciary duty.

Providing advice to trustees in bankruptcy and receivers on bankruptcy and CCAA matters.

Successfully pursuing claims on personal guarantees for a large financial institution.

Providing advice to a major hotel operator regarding a complicated commercial foreclosure relating to a failed venture at a condominium hotel at an interior ski resort.

Appearing before the BC Securities Commission on behalf of publicly-traded companies.

Representing global tire manufacturer in breach of contract case.

Representing minority shareholders in a lengthy shareholder's dispute.
