David Kington is a partner of the firm and a member of the Commercial Lending, Commercial Real Estate and Insolvency & Restructuring Groups.

David represents conventional, equity and mezzanine lenders and merchant bankers in the structuring and securitization of loan transactions, and has extensive experience in the financing of a wide range of commercial interests. He also acts for real estate clients in connection with the acquisition, development and disposition of commercial real estate.

David brings valuable commercial experience as a former senior officer of a commercial real estate lender, and head of its special loans group. He contributes to and edits the Annotated Real Estate Lending Precedents for the Continuing Legal Education Society of B.C. He is also author of Equity Mortgages for The Canadian Institute (1994).

He obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of British Columbia in 1972.
