Stewart Muglich is a partner of the firm and a member of the Corporate Finance & Securities, United States Law, Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate & Commercial Groups.

Stewart has a broad range of experience in the corporate finance and securities areas, and has been involved in numerous corporate acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations and going private transactions. He assists clients with public and private offerings and other financings, including exempt, registered, Rule 144A, Regulation S and initial public offerings, and acts for both issuers and investment bankers. Stewart also provides strategic advice on both proxy contests and hostile and negotiated takeover bids.

He is experienced in cross-border offerings and acquisitions and is well versed in regulatory compliance issues, including corporate governance matters, which arise in Canada and the United States under the regulatory framework of the Toronto Stock Exchange, the TSX Venture Exchange, NASDAQ, the Provinces of Canada, the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.

Stewart received a Bachelor of Arts from Simon Fraser University in 1986, and an LL.B. from the University of British Columbia in 1989. He also received an LL.M. in International Business and Trade Law and an M.B.A. in Corporate Finance from Fordham University in New York in 1991 and 1992, respectively.

Stewart was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1990 and the New York State Bar in 1991.
