Stuart Wells is a senior partner of the firm and a member of the Commercial Real Estate Group. His practice focuses on commercial real estate development and related corporate matters for shopping centres, recreation and resort properties, office buildings, hotels and large scale residential, high-rise and mixed-use projects.

He represents clients in all facets of real estate development, including site acquisition and assembly, consolidation and subdivision, zoning and land use reclassification, development agreements, commercial leasing, construction and related contracts, and project financing. He also has considerable experience with corporate finance and organization, real estate investment vehicles, joint ventures, partnerships and ground leases and has been involved with the purchase and sale of numerous income producing properties and portfolios.

Stuart graduated from The University of British Columbia law school in 1973, and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1974.

Forming and representing joint ventures, partnerships and other vehicles for co-development, co-ownership or investment in real property.

Representing vendors and purchasers in all forms of commercial property transactions, including shopping centre portfolios and chain hotels.

Representing borrowers in commercial financing.

Representing landlords in commercial leasing.

Representing developers in site assembly and the development of large tracts of land.
