Glen Boswall is a partner of the firm and a member of the Insurance, Business Litigation, Construction & Procurement, and Expropriation Groups.

Glen advises on and litigates disputes of all sizes. He has successfully taken many cases through court, and is equally adept at negotiation, mediation and alternative dispute resolution.

He has written and lectured on various topics including Builders Risk Insurance, Construction Deficiency Claims and the CGL Policy, Municipal Liability for Building Permits and Inspections, Green Building Liability, British Columbia Automobile Insurance Law, and Cross Border Automobile Insurance Issues.

He has been published in the British Columbia Journal of Commerce, the Construction Law Letter, The Legal Edge and the Canadian Journal of Insurance Law, and has been a featured speaker at seminars hosted by the British Columbia Association of the Appraisal Institute of Canada, the British Columbia Building Envelope Council, the Vancouver Regional Contractors Association, Buildex Vancouver, the Insurance Brokers Association of British Columbia, the Insurance Institute of British Columbia and the Insurance Institutes of Northern and Southern Alberta.

Glen was born on Prince Edward Island and received a Business degree under a scholarship from the University of Prince Edward Island in 1986. He obtained his law degree from Dalhousie University in 1989.

Resolving multi-million dollar claims for extras and changes on road construction and infrastructure projects.

Helping commercial and private landowners receive additional land value and business loss compensation for expropriated land, including claims involving business loss resulting from a new road overpass reducing visibility of a furniture store premises and loss of developable building area at a shopping centre due to expropriation of parking spaces.

Defending Canadian and American insurance companies and their insureds, including construction contractors and subtrades, motor vehicle owners and drivers, manufacturers and distributors.

Providing insurance coverage analysis for commercial general liability, builders risk, property, automobile liability and automobile accident benefit policies.

Acting for insurance companies pursuing contribution and indemnity coverage from other insurers.

Pursuing and defending businesses in disputes involving franchise agreements, loans, rent reviews, land sales, fiduciary duties, fraud and use of confidential information.

Defending the validity of unique and complex strata corporation bylaws and recovering monies from commercial strata lot owners who refuse to contribute to building repair costs.
