Area of Practice Civil litigation, and in particular, construction litigation and estate litigation. Representative Work Represents owners and contractors in Builders Liens claims. Represents developers, owners, and contractors on claims for construction deficiencies and delay. Represents owners in Commercial Lease Disputes. Represents parties in Wills Variation actions. Represents parties in Executors’ accounting proceedings. Represents parties in contractual disputes. Represents landlords in lease disputes. ProfileAmy Mortimore is an associate at Clark Wilson LLP, and a member of its Estate Litigation and Construction Law Practice Groups. She also practices general commercial litigation and commercial landlord and tenant disputes. Amy has been a member of Clark Wilson LLP's Litigation Department since 2000. Prior to that, she worked at a law firm in Langley, British Columbia. Ms. Mortimore has appeared in all levels of Court in British Columbia, as well as in front of various administrative tribunals. She also has training and experience in mediation. Ms. Mortimore obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in French from the University of British Columbia in 1993, her Bachelor of Laws degree in 1997 from the University of Victoria, and was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 1998. Ms. Mortimore is the author of the Builders Lien portion of Continuing Legal Education’s 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 Annual Practice Updates. She is also a co-author of CLE’s text, British Columbia Estate Planning and Wealth Preservation, specifically in the chapter addressing claims pursuant to the Wills Variation Act.
