Representative Work

David represents individual and corporate clients in commercial litigation matters. His experience includes contract disputes, shareholder and director disputes, professional negligence claims, real estate disputes, construction claims, and collection matters.

David also provides insurance coverage advice to insurers and insureds on a variety of coverage issues, and represents Canadian and American insurance companies and their insureds in various disputes.

David has been involved in cases at all levels of court in British Columbia. His representative work includes:

• Conducting trials and appearing on various contested chambers applications.

• Successful appellant's counsel in a decision regarding a contractual dispute involving questions of agency and statutory authority.

• Appearing as counsel at mediations and settlement conferences.

Profile

David is an associate with Clark Wilson LLP's Business Litigation and Insurance Practice Groups.

David received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in 2003 and his Bachelor of Laws Degree in 2007, both from the University of British Columbia. After completing his legal studies, David was employed for 12 months as a Judicial Law Clerk at the BC Supreme Court, where he assisted seven Supreme Court Justices with legal research and writing.

David was employed with Clark Wilson as a summer articled student in 2006 and he returned to Clark Wilson for his full articles in August 2008. David was called to the Bar of British Columbia in December 2008.
