Darren Donnelly is a partner of the firm and Chair of its Commercial Real Estate Group. He has been a member of Clark Wilson LLP's Business Law Department since 1988.

Darren has direct experience with a variety of real estate development issues and circumstances including major rezonings, mixed-use developments, strata titled hotel offerings, air space subdivision, builders liens, amalgamation and deemed destruction of strata corporations, seniors housing, water lots, local and international marketing of British Columbia projects, bare-land subdivision both within and outside of municipalities, insolvency and public-private partnerships. He also acts frequently on commercial real estate transactions including the purchase, sale and financing of office, retail, apartment and hotel properties, on behalf of a range of owners ranging from individuals and syndications to institutional investors.

As Chair of the firm's Commercial Real Estate Group, Darren led the development of our award winning BCRELinks.com website as a service to the local real estate industry. He appears in the current Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory, a guide to the leading law firms and practitioners in Canada, as a leading lawyer in the area of property development.

He obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of British Columbia in 1986, and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1985.
