Doug Lahay is a partner of Clark Wilson LLP and Chair of its Personal Injury Practice Group.

Doug practices primarily in the insurance and Plaintiff personal injury areas, with a focus on catastrophic Plaintiff personal injury and medical malpractice. He has extensive trial experience, having tried cases in the Supreme Court of British Columbia (both judge and jury and judge alone), the British Columbia Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada, giving rise to trial awards and settlements totaling well in excess of $20 Million. Doug has been counsel on several leading cases including the first case in British Columbia to consider the application of legislation mandating periodic payment of large awards.

In commercial litigation, his focus is on loss of income and business interruption claims.

He obtained both his Bachelor of Commerce degree (1982) and his Bachelor of Laws degree (1983), from the University of British Columbia.
