Area of Practice Banking and secured lending. Representative Work David represents conventional, equity and mezzanine lenders, pension funds and merchant bankers in the structuring and securitization of loan transactions and has extensive experience in the financing of a wide range of commercial interests. His experience with lending transactions includes advising lenders in respect of local and multi-jurisdictional corporate loans, mortgage loans, corporate bonds, and convertible loans, mezzanine loans, loan syndications and participations and loan restructurings. Profile David is a member of the firm's Commercial Lending, Commercial Real Estate and Corporate/ Commercial Practice Groups. David obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of British Columbia in 1972. He co-edits and contributes to the Annotated Real Estate Lending Precedents for the Continuing Legal Education Society of B.C. He also authored Equity Mortgages for The Canadian Institute (1994). He also acts for real estate clients in connection with the acquisition, development, leasing and disposition of commercial real estate.
