Area of Practice Corporate Finance / Securities. Representative Work Eric has advised public and private companies and securities brokerage firms on reverse takeovers, initial public offerings, private placements, issuer bids, takeover bids, proxy contests, formations of and qualifying transactions for capital pool companies, cross-border transactions, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. Eric also advises public issuers on corporate governance, regulatory filings, insider reporting obligations and continuous disclosure requirements. Profile Eric Pau is an associate with Clark Wilson LLP's Corporate Finance / Securities Group. Eric received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Political Science from the University of British Columbia in 2004, and his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Victoria in 2007. Eric completed a 2006 summer law program jointly offered by Cornell Law School and Université Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne in Paris, France focusing in Corporate Governance and Internal Commercial Arbitration. Eric also completed the Canadian Securities Course in 2007. While at the University of Victoria, Eric garnered several honours including the Anne and Murray Fraser Award and the University Publisher's Award. Eric is a former Editor of Appeal: Review of Current Law and Law Reform law journal, and was elected to serve as President of the UVic Law Students' Society. Eric speaks, reads and writes Chinese on a business level and is conversant in Japanese. Eric was called to the Bar of British Columbia in April 2008.
