James Halley is a senior partner with Clark Wilson LLP and a member of the Business Law Department.

Mr. Halley has acted as legal counsel for the Department of National Revenue, Ottawa and the Department of Justice, Ottawa (tax litigation). He has also written several articles and delivered numerous lectures on these taxation and finance for the Canadian Tax Foundation and the Canadian Bar Association. He has acted as Director of many corporations.

He obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Manitoba in 1966.
