Profile

Larry Munn is the Chair of Clark Wilson LLP’s Privacy Law Group and a member of the Business Litigation, Intellectual Property and Insurance Law Groups. In these areas, his practice is focused on regulatory issues and complex litigation.

Mr. Munn provides advice on freedom of information, privacy and personal information. He is working with clients in the private sector to assess their privacy policies and implement proper procedures and guidelines. His regulatory and administrative practice includes oil and gas matters, as well as legislative and policy development in various areas.

Mr. Munn's business litigation practice focuses on wide variety of commercial matters, with particular emphasis on trade-mark and licensing issues. Recent assignments include a complex trade-mark dispute and ongoing advice regarding the development of an extensive trade-mark program.

In the area of insurance, Mr. Munn provides advice to insurance clients regarding the regulation of the insurance industry at both the federal and provincial levels. He has dealt with numerous coverage and interpretation issues. Recently, he acted as counsel to the Insurance Bureau of Canada before the British Columbia Utilities Commission in respect of the ICBC rates and regulations.

Mr. Munn has both a Diploma in Legislative Drafting and an LL.M. from the University of Ottawa. He received his LL.B. from McGill University. Before moving to Vancouver and joining Clark Wilson LLP, he practiced with a major Toronto firm.
