Pat Williams is a partner of Clark Wilson LLP, the Chair of the Strata Property Group and a member of its Alternate Dispute Resolution Practice Group.

Since 1975, Mr. Williams has provided legal services to various clients in the construction field. Since 1979, his emphasis on assisting strata corporations and strata lot owners and developers has meshed well with his work in the construction industry. Mr. Williams is very comfortable in court, mediation, arbitration or negotiation and aggressively supports his clients when resolving disputes.

Mr. Williams has written and published numerous articles regarding issues impacting the strata property industry, including construction related problems experienced by owners, property managers and developers. He is a regular contributor to the industry periodicals and often gives presentations and seminars to industry groups, strata corporations and property managers.

Mr. Williams is an experienced and qualified arbitrator and mediator who has arbitrated and mediated numerous personal injury, strata property, real estate and construction disputes. He received his initial training through the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia and attended several mediation and arbitration courses through the British Columbia Arbitration and Mediation Institute. Indeed, since 1995, Mr. Williams has conducted such courses for the alternate dispute resolution industry.

Mr. Williams has published many articles regarding the use and benefit of arbitration and mediation as an alternative to court. He is a frequent guest instructor for the mediation component of the Professional Legal Training Course required to be taken by all articled students in British Columbia.

He obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1973 and a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1974, from The University of British Columbia.
