Commercial Real Estate. Representative Work Peter’s practice is focused on representing developers, landlords and investors in connection with a wide range of real estate projects in British Columbia. He has extensive experience with site acquisitions and advising on development matters for mixed use, residential, commercial and industrial projects and related acquisition and construction financing with first mortgage and mezzanine lenders. Peter creates project-appropriate ownership structures for his clients, including limited partnerships, joint ventures and bare trusts. Peter has expertise in land assemblies, development permit matters, subdivision and air space subdivisions, zoning matters, heritage development and related density transfers, development on First Nation lands, Crown land acquisitions and other Crown tenure matters. Peter has negotiated a significant number of offers to lease and leases on behalf of landlords and shopping centre developers, including leases for power centre premises, pad sites, anchor tenants and national and international retailers. Profile Peter Tolensky is a Partner in Clark Wilson LLP’s Commercial Real Estate Practice Group, and has been with the firm since his articles in 1999. He was born and raised in Montreal and spent his undergraduate years at the University of Western Ontario where he received his Bachelor of Arts in 1996. Peter then moved to Vancouver to pursue his legal studies at the University of British Columbia. He graduated from UBC with his Bachelor of Laws in 1999 and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2000. Peter speaks and writes French.
