Profile

Roy obtained his law degree from the University of Manitoba in 1980, articled with Clark Wilson LLP and was called to the BC Bar in 1981. He became a partner with Clark Wilson LLP in 1987.

Roy identifies very closely with his clients. He is driven to get results, and to be practical and effective.

Roy serves on the Canadian Bar Association Practice Advisory Panels for "General Real Estate", "Construction", "Environmental", "Expropriation" and "Bidding and Tendering". He was the founding Chair of the Banking Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association, BC Branch.

Roy regularly puts on seminars and publishes articles relating to his practice areas (some of which are available at www.cwilson.com). His articles have appeared in the Journal of Commerce; publications by Continuing Legal Education of BC; The Legal Edge (for construction and procurement managers); Legal Alert (for corporate executives); The Lawyers Weekly (a national law publication) and in Clark Wilson LLP newsletters. Roy has presented many seminars on real estate, bidding and tendering and construction.
