R. Stuart Wells is a senior partner with Clark Wilson LLP practicing in commercial real estate development and related corporate matters. He is a highly respected practitioner representing significant clients in all facets of real estate development, including site acquisition and assembly, consolidation and subdivision, zoning and land use reclassification, development agreements, commercial leasing, construction and related contracts and all facets of project financing. He has considerable experience with corporate finance and organization, real estate investment vehicles, joint ventures, partnerships and ground leases and has been involved with the purchase and sale of numerous income producing properties and portfolios. His practice focuses primarily on the development of shopping centres, recreational and resort properties, office buildings, hotels, and large scale residential, high-rise and mixed use projects.

Mr. Wells graduated from The University of British Columbia with honours in economics and political science. He graduated from The University of British Columbia law school in 1973, articled with Clark Wilson LLP and was called to the BC Bar in 1974. He became a partner of Clark Wilson LLP in 1978.
