Representative Work

  • Assisting with share and asset purchase/sale transactions for both public and private companies.

  • Assisting with preparing and implementing corporate structuring and restructuring plans.

  • Acting with respect to various corporate reorganization transactions, including amalgamations, continuations, and dissolutions.

  • Reviewing and drafting a wide variety of corporate and commercial agreements.

Profile

Shauna Towriss is an associate with Clark Wilson LLP's Insolvency & Restructuring, Corporate & Commercial and Private Company Transactions Practice Groups.

Shauna received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Simon Fraser University in 2001 and obtained her Bachelor of Laws from the University of British Columbia in 2005.

From 2005-2006, Shauna was employed as a Judicial Law Clerk at the BC Court of Appeal. In February 2006, Shauna was awarded the First Annual Lloyd Houlden Research Fellowship from the Canadian Insolvency Foundation and was honoured to be presented with the fellowship by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada. She was employed with Clark Wilson as a summer articled student in 2004 and returned to Clark Wilson for her full articles in July 2006. Shauna was called to the Bar of British Columbia in November 2006.
