• Representation of District of Maple Ridge to unwind P3 and purchase the Maple Ridge Town Centre; and

• Representation of the successful proponent with respect to the first two contracts awarded by the BC Transportation Financing Authority involving land transfers in payment for design and construction of highway interchanges.

Darren Donnelly is a partner of the firm and Chair of its Commercial Real Estate Group. He has been a member of Clark Wilson LLP's Business Law Department since 1988.

Mr. Donnelly has direct experience with a variety of real estate development issues and circumstances including major rezonings, mixed use developments, strata-titled hotel offerings, air space subdivision, builders liens, amalgamation and deemed destruction of strata corporations, seniors housing, water lots, local and international marketing of British Columbia projects, bare land subdivision both within and outside of municipalities, insolvency and public-private partnerships. He also acts frequently on commercial real estate transactions including the purchase, sale and financing of office, retail, apartment and hotel properties, on behalf of a range of owners ranging from individuals and syndications to institutional investors.

As Chairman of the firm's Commercial Real Estate Practice Group, Mr. Donnelly led the development of our award winning BCRELinks.com website as a service to the local real estate industry.

He obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from The University of British Columbia in 1986, and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1985.
