"The New 51-509: How BC Will Regulate US OTC Issuers"
Effective September 15, 2008, new securities regulations come into effect in British Columbia which will impact all companies traded on the United States OTC Bulletin Board and the Pink Sheets which have certain connections to British Columbia. Such companies may be deemed to be BC "reporting issuers", and subject to BC and national Canadian securities rules and regulations.
To help our clients prepare for this regulatory change, the Corporate Finance/Securities Group at Clark Wilson will present a seminar on September 4, 2008, which will cover the new rules, when a company will be deemed a reporting issuer, and what BC and national Canadian rules and regulations apply. We will also provide detailed information on how to comply with all applicable rules.
