Strata Property and Human Rights. Representative WorkRepresenting Strata Corporations and owners in the litigation, arbitration, and mediation of diverse condominium disputes including collection matters, bylaw enforcement, injunctions, the appointment of administrators and human rights claims. Assisting strata corporations with preparing bylaws, resolutions, and interpreting the Strata Property Act in order to ensure the orderly administration and governance of strata corporations. Profile Veronica Franco is an associate of Clark Wilson LLP’s Litigation Department and a member of the firm’s Strata Property Practice Group. She has appeared in all levels of court in British Columbia, including the Court of Appeal, as well as various administrative tribunals, including the Human Rights Tribunal. Veronica obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from the University of Toronto in 1994. After graduation, she worked for the University of Toronto as a Laboratory Manager. She wanted to see the West Coast, so she moved to Vancouver in 1995 to pursue a law degree at the University of British Columbia. Veronica obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree in 1998 and was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 1998. After completing her articles and practicing as an associate at a Richmond law firm, she joined Clark Wilson LLP in August 2001. Veronica has written various articles for Clark Wilson LLP’s publications, including STRATAgies and Legal Framework. In addition, she has contributed to Continuing Legal Education’s BC Estate Planning and Wealth Preservation, Family Law Agreements, and Annual Review of Law. Veronica has also presented seminars and contributed articles on strata issues to various magazines and newsletters for industry groups such as the Condominium Homeowner’s Association (CHOA), Professional Association of Managing Agents (PAMA), Canadian Condominium Institute (CCI), Pacific Condominium Association of BC (PCA), and Canadian Property Management.
