Alternate Dispute Resolution

Members of the Alternate Dispute Resolution Group assist parties in resolving their disputes using private mediation, arbitration, facilitation and other dispute resolution processes as an alternative to the more traditional litigation venue. Depending upon each individual case and the client’s particular needs, utilization of an alternate dispute resolution process can avoid the publicity, risks, costs and delays inherent in civil litigation.

In recognition of the need to serve our clients' diverse interests and with a view to resolving disputes in creative and cost effective ways, our Alternative Dispute Resolution Group offers a wide array of experience in areas which are particularly well suited to alternate dispute mechanisms such as insurance, construction, personal injury, domestic relations and condominiums.

Our team analyzes each individual case to assess the risk associated with proceeding through litigation versus adoption of an alternate resolution mechanism, and determines an appropriate plan for effective resolution of the dispute. Our experienced counsel act on behalf of clients at mediation, arbitration, facilitation, and neutral evaluation, and provide seminars and training for clients to assist them in utilizing Alternative Dispute Resolution techniques within their own organization.
