Our Litigation Expertise

We bring a breadth of trial and mediation experience in wills and trust variation claims, power of attorney and trust accountings, will interpretations, fraudulent and negligent estate administrations, contested executor and trustee accountings, testator capacity issues and committeeships. Members of our group are highly experienced trial lawyers who have been trained in different aspects of commercial litigation, bringing the same urgency and economic based dispute resolution skills which are demanded by our corporate clients. Our ability to draw upon real estate, succession planning and family law expertise within our firm enables us to offer a fully integrated service in the most cost effective manner.

Our group represents many medical institutions, colleges and universities, charitable organizations and trust companies in British Columbia. We represent private family trusts, family-owned businesses, and lay executors and institutional trustees appointed under wills. As leaders of the International Lawyers Network Estate and Trust Group we frequently work with clients from other jurisdictions.

Our lawyers are members of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia, Canadian Bar Association Sections on Estates and Trusts and Elder Law, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and the Canadian Association of Gift Planners. Many of our group members have made significant contributions to various Continuing Legal Education publications and have lectured at industry training seminars and forums.

Please feel free to contact any member of our group for more information about the services we offer.
