Stephen applies his understanding of complex tax laws to help clients to manage tax issues that arise and to resolve tax controversies.

Stephen has a passion for learning about developments in tax law. This passion has enhanced his ability to generate responsive and practical advice, and has led to many resolved disputes with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and B.C. Ministry of Finance.

Prior to joining Clark Wilson, Stephen worked in a law firm associated with a Big Four accounting firm, with a focus on commodity tax (including GST/HST and PST), customs and trade, and tax dispute resolution.

Stephen has worked with businesses of all sizes from closely held private companies to public multinational corporations. He embraces every opportunity to get to know his clients’ situation and use that knowledge to skillfully assist them with tax matters.
