There are circumstances when particular regulations simply cannot be met. While some may view this as a stop sign, Vik views it as an opportunity to be creative. An example of this is when a client could not obtain the prescribed financial information required for its IPO prospectus. Working with the British Columbia Securities Commission, Vik was able to suggest the use of alternative financial information to satisfy the commission’s requirements. This was accepted in lieu of the standard requirement, and he successfully completed the offering.
