Bannock and learning on National Indigenous Peoples Day

Clark Wilson

Clark Wilson lawyers and staff celebrated National Indigenous Peoples Day with a lunchtime workshop led by our Aboriginal Business Law team. Lunch included fresh bannock, BBQ salmon mousse and Saskatoon berry jam.

The workshop offered insights into Aboriginal perspectives on practicing law. We screened “But I Was Wearing a Suit”, a  short, grassroots documentary about explicit and implicit bias faced by Aboriginal lawyers in BC produced with the support of the Law Society of BC and CLEBC, We also enjoyed personal insights and stories about working cross-culturally from Angela Cousins and Malcolm Macpherson — two Clark Wilson associates who identify as Aboriginal.
