We are looking for a very experienced civil trial lawyer to become our first Litigation Training Lawyer – a flexible, part-time position based in our Vancouver office – with the responsibility for driving the litigation training program for our 30+ litigation lawyers and students.

The Litigation Training Lawyer will:

• Offer one-on-one development support;
• Observe and give feedback on court appearances, mediation, and examinations for discovery;
• Deliver practical workshops for the department; and
• Be available for litigation assistance that is not file-specific.

The Litigation Training Lawyer will be someone with a passion for training and mentorship, particularly for newer members of the BC Bar. We think the role might be ideal for a senior civil litigator from the BC Bar at the “pre-tirement” or early retirement stage. The one day/week average time commitment can be arranged to suit the right candidate.
