Leigh Kjekstad interviewed David Austin on BC1’s Unfiltered about the Lax Kw’alaam’s $1B 40-year deal with Petronas and its proposed LNG facility in Prince Rupert. “There is no guarantee this facility will still be operating for 40 years, because of global warming and depletion of BC’s natural gas reserves. The deal is comparable to other agreements that the private sector has entered into for other types of natural resource development,” explains David.
