Brock Smith and Michael Roman acted as counsel to Vancouver technology company Zite, Inc. in connection with its acquisition by Cable News Network, Inc. (CNN). Zite’s iPad news app gives users a more personalized news experience by providing them with content from a variety of web-based sources in a magazine-like format. Zite will now operate as a stand-alone business within the CNN corporate family.
