The 2026 edition of the World Trademark Review’s prestigious WTR 1000 is now out; it identifies leading practitioners in 80+ jurisdictions through competitor and client interviews.

Practice leader Jeffrey Vicq, partners Athar Malik and David Bowden, and the firm as a whole were all again named to the WTR 1000 list for Canada.

Clients lauded Jeffrey for providing “thoughtful and practical advice” and for helping them “reach effective solutions.” Athar was recognized for bringing “incisive thought leadership and strategic depth to every mandate” making him a “go-to for clients navigating complex IP terrain.” And David was noted as someone that “thrives where trademark law turns tactical, pairing sharp intellect with creative instincts to deliver persuasive pre-litigation correspondence often resolving disputes before they escalate.”

All three were said to “inspire repeat engagement” like few others; their “custom, plain-speaking advice resonates with clients.”

Broadly, the entire Clark Wilson trademark team was acknowledged as being of “top calibre and able to handle all issues”, where they can “sculpt brand narratives, curate robust trademark portfolios, and unleash enforcement with surgical precision.”

This recognition further reinforces Clark Wilson’s position near the forefront of this increasingly competitive industry.
