Executive compensation and bonuses have undergone much scrutiny and criticism in the aftermath of the what is being now called the ‘Great Recession’. The topic of incentive based or bonus pay is the focus of this edition of Work Place Post. In our first article we discuss a recent Employment Standards decision that applies to any employee receiving incentive based pay. For our second article, we invited Rachel O’Connor, an expert in incentive based pay with the Hay Group, to discuss the elements of good incentive pay programs given the new or heightened interest in risk management and transparency.
