On July 10, 2012, James Speakman and Vikram Dhir, with assistance from Craig Rollins, completed a $50m initial public offering for Pure Multi-Family REIT LP. The funds will be used to acquire an initial portfolio of 390 residential units in Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas. This is expected to be the only publicly-traded vehicle in Canada to offer investors exclusive exposure to U.S. multi-family real estate assets. Clark Wilson provided all of the securities and structuring for the transaction.
