Brent has acted as trial and appellate counsel in a range of business disputes and regulatory proceedings on behalf of individuals, corporations and institutional clients. His litigation experience involves shareholder and partnership disputes, real estate development and land use, misuse of confidential information, energy and natural resources, among others.
He is adept in environmental disputes and contaminated sites law in British Columbia, acting as counsel on several leading contaminated sites cases in the province under the Environmental Management Act and is the author of the Environmental Disputes Chapter of the British Columbia Business Disputes Manual published by the Continuing Legal Education Society of BC.
